Here are a couple of pictures from the Walden Cluster annual meeting, and a reminder of what a beautiful place we have to live.
Thanks to Kathryn for taking these pictures!
The Easter Bunny was in Walden Cluster this weekend, and the neighborhood children and friends filled their baskets with the eggs left in the neighborhood.

Today, a friend of the Walden Cluster from Chadds Ford, an adjacent cluster, spotted a bald eagle in a tree at 2003 Swans Neck Way, near Lake Thoreau. There is a link to the picture below.
A bald eagle was also seen on Lake Thoreau a year or two ago, but it only stayed in the area for a few days. You may want to keep your eye out for this eagle, as he probably won’t be here long.
In a joint service project with Boy Scout Troop 1313 and Walden Residents, we tackled the removal of English Ivy, an invasive species that had been growing aggressively in some of our common areas. Together, we removed 347 cubic feet of ivy. We appreciate the help of all the Boy Scouts, and in particular, we thank Derek Phillips for leading us today!
And thanks to Kathryn for taking the above pictures (and for doing her share of ivy pulling)!
Walden Cluster hosted their annual Halloween Party, and a good time was had by all! The Party included a parade led by the Reston fire engine, face painting, and of course, treats!! Thanks to Jami and Jacinta for organizing.
The Walden Cluster Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, October 7, at 4:00 pm at the Cluster Dock. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be moved indoors and will be held at 2005 SNW. This is a chance to socialize with your neighbors, share your ideas for improvements, and help shape the future of the cluster.
Well, we didn’t actually see the Easter Bunny, but he left eggs filled with goodies for the children and friends of Walden Cluster!
